RECESS SOCCER GOALS

We are so grateful for the generosity and kind hearts of the Christa McAuliffe Girl Scout Troops and the PTA, whose support made it possible to add additional recess soccer goals in honor of Nolan in 2024.

It’s no secret that Nolan loved recess and he loved soccer. At recess, he was a force for good. He loved to play, and everyone had a place on his team, as his third-grade teacher so beautifully shared.

These soccer goals are a meaningful way to honor Nolan’s memory and the joy, inclusion, and kindness he brought to others. We are deeply thankful to the Girl Scout Troops and PTA for helping keep his spirit alive on the playground, where kids can play, connect, and make memories together.

BE GOOD. BE NICE. WORK HARD. BE HUMBLE.

Nolan always included anyone in the game. It didn't matter if you were good or not the best. If you wanted to play, you were always included.

Nolan was a skilled athlete, but also understood the skill level of others. He helped them learn, he helped them feel good, and he kept it fun for his friends. After the whistle blew, he could be heard saying" good game" or "nice catch" on his walk to line.
