HONORING NOLAN
THE GARDEN
Thanks to Christa McAullife Principal Michael Orr, Sprouts Farmer's Market, and the Shawnee Mission School District, the Nolan Davidson Memorial Garden was established in 2024.
HERD RUNNING CLUB
Herd Running is a youth running club that started in 2021 by the Davidson family with a mission to empower kids and build character through running. Nolan and his sister Brooklyn were the first two participants and today the program has served hundreds of kids in their community. As a way to continue to honor Nolan and bring light to the importance of good character through sports, the NOLANSTRONG Award is given. Each week a runner from every location is selected that exemplified what it means to BE GOOD, BE NICE, WORK HARD, & BE HUMBLE, just like Nolan strived to be.
RECESS SOCCER GOALS
We are grateful for the generosity and kind hearts of the Christa McAuliffe Girl Scout Troops and the PTA that made it possible to add additional recess soccer goals in honor of Nolan in 2024. It's no secret that Nolan loved recess and he loved soccer. At recess he was a force for good. He loved to play, and everyone had a place on his team, said his third grade teacher.
